In Israel, this combination is perceived as a mashup of two opposing and often conflicting worlds, which has greatly affected my personal identity and upbringing. My contemplations regarding my race lead me to the biblical definition of Kil’ayim (hybrids), which are several prohibitions involving sinful combinations according to Jewish law. The project is comprised of seven booklets bound by a translucent case. Six of the booklets each detail one of the prohibitions and the final one focuses on my personal story.
